Q1. How do I receive services?

Services are by appointment only.  To make an appointment, please call 718-352-6093 or email mindhealthclinic@gmail.com.  I will not be able to receive calls when I am in session, so please leave your name, phone number, a brief description or email me and I will contact you within the day.

If you cancel your appointment, you must provide notification at least 24 hours in advance.

Q2. How much do the services cost?

  • Initial appointment: psychiatric/psychosocial
    evaluation

The first meeting is to build a diagnosis and treatment plan.  This requires psychiatric/psychosocial evaluation.  For pediatric and adolescent clients, a parent interview is also included and the full appointment takes 2 hours.  Adult client appointments take 1.5 hours.

  • Medication management-25 minutes
  • Individual/family psychotherapy-50 to 75 minutes

Costs depending on the length of service.

Q3. Do you take insurance?

We do not take insurance.  However, many insurance companies offer partial reimbursement for cost of treatment, so please consult your insurance company.

Q4. Could my child be disadvantaged at school or at work because of medical records?

In 1996, the United States enacted the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect the medical records of individuals. We do not share medical records with anyone without the consent of the patient or caregiver. Exceptions may be the case where an insurance company pays for medical expenses or, in very rare cases, a court submits a formal request through a subpoena.
